Accounts Payable Specialist
In our Malta office we are looking for someone like you to take on this exciting role as our Accounts Payable Specialist. If you are looking for a new challenge and are willing to learn and grow with us than this role is perfect for you!
Let’s break that down a bit, so yes you will be in charge for the accounts payable process from start to finish, this means from when an invoice is received until it is ultimately paid. You will be responsible for the accruals and prepayments across the group entities and of fixed assets management. Ultimately you will be the go-to person for all accounts payable queries within our group. You will also be involved in discussions for changes in accounting standards and accounting policies. Hence, you are thorough and get annoyed at yourself when a mistake is made as you know the repercussions and how frustrating this can be for others. That is why you do pay attention to detail and take care to make sure that everything is checked over before pressing the pay-out button!
“Cool, I’m ready to do it” is what you’re thinking so hopefully you will start to nod with the next sentences too. You are ACCA/ University qualified, have at least three years’ experience within a similar role with a similar set up and know how to get things done efficiently! You are a self-starter and can take full ownership of the responsibilities assigned including taking initiative to learn new processes as they arise and keep on improving them. No task is too big or small, you seek solutions at all times and bring positive energy to those around you even when your face is stuck deep in numbers. You have a pretty good knowledge of excel, including data manipulation, you’re also familiar with other office software applications and are proud of it. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (NAV) and experience in a similar role will be a definite plus on your application! Communication via chat/video messaging and face to face in this role is key, and you are confident to work with others but also independently and uphold a high standard of work ethic, ensuring both confidentiality and always ensuring to complete all assigned tasks accurately.
